Park volunteer leads a tours along the Ancestral Sites Trail at Pecos National Historical Park

Rangers and park volunteers at Pecos National Historical Park lead free guided tours of the various attractions from April through the end of October. Programs include a guided walk along the Ancestral Sites Trail, a tour of the Forked Lightning Ranch, and a talk about the Battle of Glorieta Pass (Civil War). Visitors can hike the Ancestral Sites Trail and the Glorieta Pass Battlefield Trail on their own, but a guided tour is the only way to see the ranch. Check out the National Park Service’s official Calendar web page for the current schedule of events.
