Back in 2015, there was a very nice view from the Water Valley Overlook on the Natchez Trace Parkway, but in 2022 it’s pretty much gone due to excessive vegetation growth. A lake that was once clearly visible is now largely hidden from sight. The lone picnic table (no grill) is still perched atop the hill, but stopping for a picnic is now no better than stopping anywhere else along the Natchez Trace Parkway. The only other overlook with a nice view, Baker Bluff Overlook, has unfortunately met a similar fate.
