Snake Island is located in Boston Harbor just a quarter mile off the mainland near Winthrop. Visitors are allowed on the island but are asked to stay on the beach and shore because the interior is a conservation area for birds. There is nothing on it other than vegetation.

Snake Island is not serviced by the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area public ferry.
