Sheep Island, part of Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, has eroded from twenty-five acres down to only three. It is surrounded by gravel beach on all sides, so landing is possible just about anywhere. However, other than a patch of vegetation on the west end, there is nothing on the island.
Sheep Island is not serviced by the public ferry.
