Sarah Island is one of four small islands in Hingham Harbor, the others being Button, Langlee, and Ragged. While there is nothing on it but some trees, it is close enough to the mainland to make a good target for those who want to take a paddling trip. There are steep ledges on the south end, but you should be able to land on the flatter beach area on the north side. Depending on from where you depart, a round trip to all four islands is as short as two miles.

Because of the ledges, this is a popular spot for birds. Avoid visiting the island during nesting season (April through August) because they may attack you.

Sarah Island is not serviced by the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area public ferry.
