The only historic structure on Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area’s Grape Island is located next to the boat dock: the foundation of a 19th century farmhouse. This was the only house on the island, and it was home to a number of individuals and families over the years. The last residents moved off Grape Island in 1940.
