The back 9 holes of Rock Creek Golf Course are closed due to deteriorated condition. Playing 18 holes now consists of playing the front 9 twice.

Rock Creek Golf Course is a no-frills course that offers 18 holes of golf and a small proshop and snack bar. During the week you can play 18 holes for $20 and for only $25 on the weekend (add $15-$30 for a cart). A public course near me in Atlanta charges nearly double, so the prices are a great deal. However, most online reviews of the course claim that it is in rough shape and not for serious golfers. However, if you just want to play, you can’t really complain because of the price and the convenience to downtown Washington, D. C., plus there’s rarely a wait.

Rock Creek is one of three Washington, D. C., public golf courses owned by the National Park Service, the others being Langston and East Potomac. For more details, see the Rock Creek Golf Course web page.
