An inviting picnic area on the Natchez Trace Parkway is located right along Cypress Creek. Access to the creek is easy, as there are no steep banks or vegetation to get in your way. I don’t know what you’d do in the creek, but kids would have a good time splashing around and hunting for creek creatures.

The Cypress Creek picnic area is divided into two sections that are separated by a small stand of trees and connected by a short trail. Two tables and one grill are on the right side, and five tables and three grills are on the left side. Some are along Cypress Creek. Most are bolted to the ground and cannot be moved.
