A boat launch for motorized boats, canoes, kayaks, and other hand-paddled watercraft is located at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center at Everglades National Park. This boat launch accesses Chokoloskee Bay. There is a large field where you can park your car and trailer.

If you are going on an overnight camping trip, you need a backcountry permit (available at the Visitor Center). Display this on the dashboard of your car. Only those with permits can park overnight. There is no fee to launch a boat or park overnight other than the standard Everglades National Park entrance fee.
