A launch for hand-paddled watercraft is located at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Visitor Center in the Gulf Coast unit of Everglades National Park. This allows launching non-motorized boats directly into Chokoloskee Bay. It is the most popular starting point for those camping on one of the islands in the Gulf of Mexico.
