Terrapin Mountain View overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Terrapin Mountain not only runs parallel to the overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but it is also very close, traits that make for a boring view unless the leaves on the trees are changing color. The next two overlooks to the south—Thunder Ridge Parking Area and Arnold Valley View—have excellent scenic views, so I suggest stopping at one of them and skipping the Terrapin Mountain View overlook.
