James River Valley Parking Area on the Blue Ridge Parkway

View: None
Trails: None
Picnic Tables: 1 (no grill)

Other than a picnic table, there is nothing of interest at the James River Valley Parking Area on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The parking lot is surrounded by forest, so there’s obviously no scenic views, but there are no trails either, and at “Parking Areas” there’s usually a trail. There is a dirt road on the right side of the parking lot—Goff Mountain Road—that leads to a few private residences, but it is of no interest to Parkway visitors.
