There are around 280 overlooks, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and numerous historical structures along the 469 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. As you can imagine, seeing and doing everything is beyond the scope of the vacation plans for most people. To make matters more complicated, many of the overlooks are now overgrown with brush and trees, as are many of the views you could once get to by hiking the trails. It’s frustrating to pull into scenic overlook after scenic overlook and see a forest before you, and nothing sucks more than hiking a few miles to a promised scenic view only to find trees blocking the vista.
This is where National Park Planner comes in handy. I have stopped at every overlook, every historical site, and hiked many of the trails. I’ve suffered disappointment so you don’t have to. So that you can utilize your time most wisely, I present to you the Best of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
