There is no view at the Grandmother Parking Area on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I can’t imagine that there ever was one. The name refers to Grandmother Mountain, but all you see here is a forest. Usually such stops serve as trail parking areas, but I couldn’t find any trails. Unless you just need a place to pull over, there is no reason to stop here.
