The identification sign at the Betseys Rock Falls View overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway has been placed at an odd angle, so I am assuming that if you are looking at the sign that you are looking in the direction of the waterfall. However, nothing can be seen as long as leaves are on the trees. During the winter and after a heavy rain the falls can be spotted off to the left of the overlook. The falls got its name from the lady who lived nearby back in the late 1800s, Betsey Pierce.

There is one picnic table at this stop, but it is at the bottom of a steep hill. You must really want to have a picnic to use it.
