Length: 1 mile, one way

The Orange Trail is the only trail at Morristown National Historical Park that I did not hike. It is a one-way trail that runs through the middle of the Yellow Trail loop, extending from near the Wick House to the Pennsylvania Line Encampment Site where you will find replicas of the huts that soldiers of the American Revolution built and lived in during the winter. Because it covers much of the same terrain as does the Yellow and Green trails, and because the only way to get back to the start without retracing your steps is to return via the Yellow Trail, which I did hike, I decided that there was too much repetitiveness and skipped it. If you are looking for exercise, might as well hike one of the other trails, as all are loops and all are much longer. If you just want to see the Pennsylvania Line Encampment Site and the replicas of the soldier huts, you can drive to the site.
