The Parkway Information Cabin is closed due to dilapidated condition. However, you can still get information on the Natchez Trace Parkway in an outdoor brochure box, and restrooms are located in a trailer next to the cabin. There are also three picnic tables on the property, but no grills.
Other than to use the restroom, the only reason to stop at the Parkway Information Cabin is to access the 10-mile long Chisha Foka Multi-Purpose Trail. This is a paved trail open to hikers, bikers, and skaters that starts at the Ross Barnett Reservoir overlook (MP 105.6) near Jackson. The trail follows the Natchez Trace Parkway south from the reservoir and abruptly ends a few miles north of the Osburn Stand pullout (MP 93.1). In addition to the Reservoir Overlook, the trail can be accessed at the Choctaw Agency (MP 100.7) and Old Trace and Brashears Stand (MP 104.5) stops on the Parkway.
