Natchez Trace Parkway | JOURDAN CREEK PICNIC AREA (MP 295)

Picnic Table at Jourdan Creek

Picnic Table at Jourdan Creek

The Jourdan Creek Picnic Area is not much of a picnic area. There is one table located at the bottom of a steep hill, and I for one am not about to carry my picnic supplies down such a hill. There are plenty of other picnic spots on the Natchez Trace Parkway that don’t require such effort.

If you do make it to the bottom of the hill, there is a short path through the woods that leads to what I assume is Jourdan Creek. I doubt this creek is on anyone’s Must See list, so my advice is to skip this stop and take your snacking some place else.
