The Dogwood Mudhole stop on the Natchez Trace Parkway is nothing but an information panel that tells about a mudhole that existed a mile south. There is a road that circles the property, but there is nothing along the road, so I fail to see its purpose.
On the opposite side of the road is a very short segment of the original Natchez Trace. However, at no longer than 100 yards in length, it’s not even worth getting out of the car to walk it. There are longer and more interesting sections scattered along the Parkway, and I suggest saving your time and energy for one of these.
