The Chickasaw Council House site on the Natchez Trace Parkway marks the location of the 1820 Chickasaw Indian capital city of Pontatock. A council house is where all meetings took place. An information panel gives the details.

For those looking to take a snack break, two picnic tables and one grill are at this stop.
