The northern trailhead for the Rocky Springs segment of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail is located off of Fisher Ferry Road, about five miles from the Rocky Springs town site on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Once you exit the Parkway and come to Fisher Ferry Road, turn right. The trailhead parking, which is a field, is a short ways down the road on the right. Keep in mind that there is no sign indicating that the field is for trail parking, but the field is impossible to miss.

Horseback riding is allowed on the Rocky Springs segment, and the parking lot is large enough to hold horse trailers. However, there is no water for horses at this parking area.
