CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE TRAILS
There are approximately 11 miles of paved multi-use trails within Cape Cod National Seashore that are open to bikers, plus bikers can ride on the vehicle roads within the park. However, there are no off-road trails for bikers, and no bikes of any type are allowed on the National Park Service beaches.
The paved, 22-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail is also open to bikers. The trail runs from the mid-cape town of South Dennis all the way to LeCount Hollow Road in Wellfleet, but because it lies outside of the National Seashore it is not reviewed here on National Park Planner.
E-bikes with a motor less than 750 watts are allowed on the biking trails as long as you actually peddle. If you just want to use the motor assistance, you must stick to the vehicle roads.
Helmets are required for all bikers under the age of seventeen.
