Gulf Coast Visitor Center boat launch in Everglades National Park

See the Boat Launches web page for an interactive location map.

Due to the construction of a new Gulf Coast Visitor Center, the boat launch area is closed as of April 2024. It is expected to reopen later this year, but that is government time, so don’t expect much (the visitor center itself won’t be completed until late 2025). During the closure, visitors can launch their hand-paddled watercraft at the Rod and Gun Club, Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee, and the Chokoloskee Island Park and Marina. Fees may apply. Contact the facilities for details.
