STOP 4: CHAPEL OF THE CENTURION

The Chapel of the Centurion at Fort Monroe National Monument was dedicated in 1858, and it was the U. S. Army’s oldest wooden structure still in use as a church up until the fort was decommissioned in 2011.

When done at the chapel, which is not open to the public except during church service at 10:30 AM on Sundays, continue down the road to the next stop.
