Those with their own horses are welcome to use the carriage roads and hiking trails at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Only the Precipice and North Peak trails are off limits. You can also bring a carriage, but if doing so, please call the park first at (802) 457-3368 to make arrangements.

Parking for horse trailers is available at the Billings Farm and Museum overflow parking lot on the east side of the park and the parking lot on Prosper Road on the west side. Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is only two miles across, so it really makes no difference from which end you access the trails when you are on horseback. However, there are a lot less people and commotion at the Prosper Road lot. For those with a carriage, the carriage roads can also be accessed from either end of the park, but in both cases you must ride down paved vehicle streets for about a tenth of a mile before reaching them.
