The vista at Yellow Face View is broad (more than 180°) and interesting due to the combination of up close and in-your-face mountains and mountains in the distance that fade into the horizon. If you just came from Waterrock Knob, there’s not much reason to stop here since the views are of the same mountains. From this point on until reaching the southern end the Blue Ridge Parkway near Cherokee, North Carolina, the mountains you see are part of the Great Smoky Mountains.
