The Roanoke Basin View overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is now nothing but a forest. On top of that, if you walk into the woods and continue for the length of two football fields, either from the huge parking lot or across the Parkway, you’ll end up in a residential neighborhood. I can’t imagine that there was ever anything to see from here.
