A view of Masons Knob awaits you at this stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. While much of the vista is blocked by trees, including an impressive oak that is certainly spectacular in the fall, you can still get a glimpse of the lone mountain from the left side of the very large parking area. The mountain was named for John Mason, the man who settled the area in the mid-1700s.
