Trails: Otter Creek Trail
Picnic Tables: 1 (no grill)
Any view of Terrapin Hill on the Blue Ridge Parkway has long been obscured by a forest that now dominates the site. Today, the stop serves as parking for the Otter Creek Trail, which runs between the Otter Creek Campground and the James River Visitor Center. Access the trail via a staircase near the parking lot. At this point you are .6 mile from the campground and 2.4 miles from the visitor center. While I did not hike this trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway Outdoor Guide rates it as an easy hike.
Otter Creek Trail starts at the bottom of the staircase at the Terrapin Hill stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway
