SARATOGA BATTLEFIELD TOUR

STOP 1: WAR IS COMING

Allow 10 minutes for a visit

The first stop on the tour of the Saratoga Battlefield is called War is Coming. This is a general information stop located just down the road from the Saratoga National Historical Park Visitor Center. From here you have a nice view of the Freeman’s Farm area where most of the fighting at Saratoga took place on September 19th and October 7th, 1777. A short walking path leads to three wayside exhibits with information about the prelude to the battles.
