Concession area at Watch Hill, Fire Island National Seashore
For those who do not want to bring food and drinks with them to the Watch Hill unit of Fire Island National Seashore, there is a general store, snack bar, and full-service restaurant and bar that are open daily. In the general store you can purchase—at inflated prices as expected—just about anything you may have forgotten at home such as insect repellent, sunscreen, water, and snacks and basic food items. You can also purchase souvenirs.
In September 2019, a fire destroyed the Whalehouse Point restaurant and bar building, and until it is rebuilt, food and drinks are being served from a food truck with seating provided under a tent. For more information, see the Love Watch Hill and Sailors Haven website.
