See the Picnic Areas web page for an interactive location map.
A small picnic area with five tables (no grills) is located in a pine tree forest at the far end of the parking lot for the Great Island Trail at Cape Cod National Seashore. The area is so well shaded that it’s not very easy to spot. Look for it on the opposite side of the parking lot from the trailhead and the portable toilets. All tables are taken on a first come, first served basis, so it’s really just a place for hikers to have a bite to eat, not a place to host a party or other event.
