There are many sites in Plains, Georgia, that are pertinent to the life of Jimmy Carter but are not part of Jimmy Carter National Historical Park. All are within a half mile of Plains High School, home of the park’s Visitor Center, except for the Lebanon Cemetery. Most sites are just places to look at and to take a photo of; getting there takes more time than seeing the site. Churches are open for service if you happen to be in Plains at the right time.
