The Gulf Coast Visitor Center in Everglades National Park is open from 8 AM to 5 PM from mid-November through mid-April, and from 9 AM to 5 PM the rest of the year. Times can always change, so before making travel plans be sure to check the National Park Service’s official Gulf Coast Visitor Center web page for the latest schedule.

  • Backcountry camping permits
  • Kayak and canoe launch, plus overnight parking for backcountry campers
  • Departure point for Ranger-led programs, including kayak and canoe tours (see the park’s Gulf Coast Ranger Guided Tours web page for a schedule)
  • Ticket sales for boat tours (see the Guided Tours web page for details)
  • Kayak and canoe rentals
  • Modern restrooms
