See the Picnic Areas web page for an interactive location map.
Three picnic tables (no grills) are located at Coot Bay Pond in the Flamingo unit of Everglades National Park. This is a roadside area for people who just want to stop for a bite to eat. Trees and other vegetation block the view of the pond.
You can launch your hand-paddled watercraft from here and paddle on Coot Bay Pond, but it’s so tiny that it’s certainly not worth the effort unless you are fishing. I know it connects to Coot Bay via a quarter-mile channel, but I have no idea if the channel is navigable or clogged with debris.
