Picnic pavilions at Gateway National Recreation Area’s Jacob Riis Park

A large picnic area at Jacob Riis Park in Queens has four covered pavilions, open-air tables, and grills, all of which are available to guests on a first come, first served basis. The picnic area is located on the southwest side of the beach parking lot.
If you wish to reserve a picnic facility for a large outing, the only place to do so in the Jamaica Bay Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area is at Fort Tilden next door.
