Battery Heights, a stop on the Second Manassas Battlefield Tour at Manassas National Battlefield Park

The best way to see the battlefields at Manassas National Battlefield Park is on your own. The First Manassas Battlefield must be explored on foot, while the Second Manassas Battlefield can be seen on a 12-stop automobile tour and on a variety of short trails. The National Park Service does offer Ranger-guided tours of the two battlefields, but these only cover a very small section near the Henry Hill Visitor Center.

The following is a list of tours and suggested trails to hike for a better understanding of the battles and the battlefield:

Matthews Hill Loop Trail

Stone Bridge Loop Trail

SECOND MANASSAS BATTLEFIELD
