Indian Creek Falls in the Deep Creek region of Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The Deep Creek Region of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located near Bryson City, North Carolina. Here you will find one of the more convenient campgrounds, a large picnic area, plenty of waterfalls, and numerous hiking trails that lead to backcountry campsites.

CAMPGROUNDS

Deep Creek Campground
96-site campground open to tents and smaller RVs. Reservations are required. Typically open from early April until the end of October.


HIKING TRAILS

Deep Creek Loop Trail
4.9-mile hike along the Deep Creek, Indian Creek, Loop, and Deep Creek Horse trails. Passes three waterfalls along the way.


PICNIC AREAS

Deep Creek Picnic Area
58 picnic sites, many along Deep Creek. A picnic pavilion can be reserved for large events.


WATERFALLS

Toms Branch, Juney Whank, and Indian Creek Falls
All three falls can be accessed on the Deep Creek Loop hike.
