The visitor center for Statue of Liberty National Monument is located near the ferry dock on Liberty Island. Though it is a large building, all that is accessible to the public is a small room with an information desk where you can pick up a park brochure and ask questions. There are no exhibits on display other than an information panel listing a chronological history of the Statue of Liberty, but there is a six-minute film about the Statue that shows on a loop. It’s not really set up for comfort, as it is shown on a small TV that you must stand around to watch. Furthermore, it’s hard to hear the narration over the conversations taking place at the nearby information desk. The film has no objectionable material and is suitable for all ages.
