In addition to a beach, Jacob Riis Park at Gateway National Recreation Area has six full-size basketball courts, two playgrounds, shuffleboard, beach volleyball courts, handball courts, a field for soccer and softball, and even an 18-hole Pitch-and-Put golf course that is run by Aviator Sports. There is no hoity-toity golf etiquette here, as this is just a notch up from put-put. Most of the guys I saw playing were fairly drunk—one stumbled out with a bottle of whiskey in hand—so come as you are for some golfing fun.
