FORT HANCOCK WALKING TOUR

Tour Stop 28: World War II Victory Garden

The Victory Garden stop on the Fort Hancock Walking Tour is supposed to be behind Building 1, the History House, but it is no longer in existence as far as I can tell. The garden is supposed to be an example of the type of gardens that U. S. citizens were asked to plant at their homes during World War II in order to help with the shortage of food.
