The Pennsylvania State Memorial at Vicksburg National Military Park is on Grant Circle near to where Grant’s Headquarters was located. The granite monument features bronze reliefs of the five unit commanders from Pennsylvania who fought at Vicksburg. Columns flanking the monument feature sculptures of Andrew Curtin, governor of Pennsylvania during the war, and General John Parke of the 9th Army Corps. The memorial was dedicated in March 1906.
