Massachusetts Memorial at Vicksburg National Military Park
Located on Grant Avenue at Vicksburg National Military Park, the Massachusetts Memorial was the first state memorial dedicated at Vicksburg (November 1903). A sculpture by Alice Ruggles Kiston sits atop a boulder from Massachusetts. The state’s three regiments that fought at Vicksburg are listed on the base.
