Pet kennels are available for rent by the hour at Mammoth Cave National Park. Check in is at the main desk of the Mammoth Cave Lodge, the building located behind the Visitor Center on the other side of the footbridge. You can either leave a credit card on file or enough cash to cover your pet’s stay. See the Lodge at Mammoth Cave’s Lodging web page for prices (scroll to the bottom of the page).

There are eight kennels for dogs and four for cats and other small pets. Dogs must have rabies, Bordetella, and DHLP / PARVO shots. Present a copy of the vaccination records when checking in.

The kennels are self serve, meaning you must bring your own water and food bowls (along with water and food). Also bring your own lock.

My friend used the kennels during the fall, and his dog was typically the only one there. I visited again on a busy Saturday in June, and there was one dog and one cat at the kennel. Based on this, seems like getting a spot isn’t hard.
