The Naval Live Oaks Area of Gulf Islands National Seashore has beach access, but this is probably the least likely place anyone is going to come to for a day at the beach. Both access points are on the bay: Santa Rosa Sound to the south and Pensacola Bay to the north.
If you are at the Naval Live Oaks parking lot on Gulf Breeze Parkway, to the left of the National Park Service office building is a short trail that leads to a small beach on Santa Rosa Sound that you might want to see just out of curiosity. However, if the beach is why you came to Gulf Islands National Seashore, you need to head over to Santa Rosa Island where you will find the undeveloped, pristine Langdon Beach, Opal Beach, and Okaloosa Beach. Farther west on Perdido Key is Johnson Beach.

Hiking trails at Naval Live Oaks lead to the beaches on Pensacola Bay, and it takes about a mile of hiking from the parking lot to reach them. See the Naval Live Oaks Hiking Trails web page for details.
