The first boat ramp you come to in the Apollo Beach district of Canaveral National Seashore is located right after the entrance station. This is a completely paved facility that launches into Mosquito Lagoon and has a parking area that can hold 22 vehicles with trailers. It is open 24 hours a day.
I was at Apollo Beach’s Boat Ramp #1 on a Wednesday morning in early March and there was only one spot left, so this is a very popular ramp. If the parking lot is full, those without a trailer—canoeists and kayakers—can park across the street at Beach Parking #1 after unloading their equipment. Those with a trailer can try Boat Ramp #2 at the end of the beach road or the ramp at River Breeze Park on the opposite side of the lagoon.
There is a separate area for hand-launched watercraft such as canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. This launch is located to the right of the main boat ramp and has its own parking lot. For those paddling to one of the island campsites in Mosquito Lagoon, this is the ramp to use if you are staying at Campsites #1 through #5.
