Complete information about visiting Oxon Cove Park and Oxon Hill Farm is now on National Park Planner!
Oxon Cove Park is the name of the park in which Oxon Hill Farm is located. The farm is the main tourist attraction. It is open daily, and people of all ages are welcome to participate in free programs such as feeding chickens and guided tours of the farm buildings. Some of the buildings have agriculture exhibits inside, and there is antique farm equipment and machinery from the early 1900s on display at various places around the property. Oxon Cove Park itself has a short hiking trail and a path that leads down to Oxon Cove, a popular spot for fishing and bird watching. The park is located in Maryland on the border with Washington, D. C., directly across the Potomac River from Alexandria, Virginia.
