Picnic area at Oxon Hill Farm in Maryland

There is a very nice picnic area with eight high-quality tables and a couple of grills located at the parking lot for Oxon Hill Farm. It is particularly popular with school and other groups of children. When I stopped by, a small group was having a birthday party, which works well in conjunction with a visit to the farm. However, keep in mind that the picnic tables are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early to stake your claim. It may be quite difficult to get tables on weekdays during school season, and even if you do, there will be kids running around everywhere.
