The Theatre-in-the-Woods is a children’s theater that operates from late June to mid-August. Shows catering to children from pre-K to 6th grade are held each Tuesday through Saturday at 10:30 AM and last about an hour. Performances include dancing, music concerts, puppetry, and storytelling, and all shows invite the children to participate.
The theater opens thirty minutes prior to show time. All 800 seats are bench seats and are available on a first come, first served basis. The Theatre-in-the-Woods is not that big, so even seats in the back are good seats. Ticket prices are $10-$15 depending on the show. Children two and under are free, but they still require a ticket.
No food or drink other than water is allowed in the seating area. Patrons are welcome to eat before or after the show at the nearby picnic tables. During the show, coolers can be stored just outside the theater or under the bench seats if they fit. No food concessions operate for Theatre-in-the-Woods performances.
