The National Park Service provides two tours at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Held once or twice a month from October through April (usually on a Saturday) is a backstage tour of the Filene Center. Schedules are posted in September. Tours are limited to 30 people, so it is best to make a reservation by calling (703) 255-1827.
National Park Service Rangers or volunteers also lead hikes along the Wolf Trap Trail on the first Sunday of each month from February through December, and on New Year’s Day in January. There is no need to register, so if interested, meet at the Filene Center box office at the appropriate time (usually 1 PM).
A schedule of these activities, as well as other special events, can be found on the National Park Service’s official Calendar, Guided Tours, and Outdoor Activities web pages for Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
There are also programs geared for kids during the summer, though adults can attend as well. A list of events and a schedule is posted on the Summer Ranger Programs web page.
